This squirrel has just heard something.
That’s right, the squirrel just heard theWebShed now has backlinks!
Today we are pleased to announce the launch of backlink data into theWebShed! It’s a feature that we’ve been working on for a while now, as we felt it was the final piece to making our tool a true all-in-one toolkit for the SEO’er.
When it comes to backlinks, quality and quantity are important. It’s for this reason that we partner with Majestic to give you the biggest index of backlinks available on the web straight to your account.
We have integrated backlinks into the platform in 2 forms:
- Ongoing backlink audit feature for customers within theWebShed. This feature is charged at a monthly fee of £7.50 (like the other theWebShed features) and tracks backlinks ongoing. We start by grabbing 20k of the freshest links pointing to your website and then continue by checking for new links on a daily basis. This data integrates with other features within theWebShed like the onsite explorer and the page information. To start using this
- Ad-hoc backlink checker. The ad-hoc backlink checker allows you to buy credits to perform backlink checks (no monthly fee). This gives you a cost effective way to get backlink audits, paying for just the reports you run. All of the functionality is the same as below, you still get all of the great features and reports, just on a cost per report basis.
Below is a brief overview of the features available (and upcoming);
The Backlink Summary page gives you the key information for the domain checked. This covers the number of backlinks and domains pointing to the website, top linked pages, top anchor text usage and an overview of new and lost links over the last 3 months.
Top Domains show you the top domains that point to the website. This includes the Trust Flow and Citation Flow for the domain (Majestic’s ‘pagerank’ equivalent metrics), and an overview of the number of backlinks that point to your website. You also have the ability to expand and see the top 5 backlinks from each domain listed.
The Backlink Explorer takes all of your backlink data and puts it into the easy-to-use format of the Data Explorer. You can filter all of your backlinks by over 15 different data points allowing you to bring back just the information you need.
The Anchor Text tab brings you back the top anchors pointing to your website, including the number of backlinks, the average Trust and Citation Flow and the split between followed / no-followed backlinks. You also have the ability to expand and see the top 5 backlinks from that anchor text.
The Top Pages tab brings you back the most-linked-to pages on your website. This includes the number of backlinks pointing to that page,the average Trust and Citation Flow and the split between followed / no-followed backlinks. You also have the ability to expand and see the top 5 backlinks pointing to that page.
If you are using the ongoing backlink product this will also link with our Onsite Audit tool and show you the response code of the page in question. This is a really quick way to ensure your top pages are either live or redirect (404 = bad!).
So, What’s Next?
We are currently pulling data from Majestic’s ‘Fresh Index’, which is their most up-to-date list of links. From next week though we will also give you the ability to pull links from their ‘Historic Index’ too.
On the ad-hoc tool we pull 10k backlinks per search, but from next week you will be able to increase this limit.
We’ll keep you all updated on these. But in the meantime head over to my.webshed.co, login and start pulling backlinks!
